Each session begins with a quick tongue and pulse assessment to evaluate your current condition and determine the most appropriate types of seeds for your needs. The treatment includes both ear acupuncture and ear seeding. Our doctor will insert acupuncture needles into one ear, which are retained for 15–20 minutes. Ear seeds will be applied to the other ear; these remain in place for up to seven days to provide continuous stimulation.
Ear acupuncture involves stimulating specific points on the ear that correspond to various organs and systems in the body. During the session, the doctor will insert acupuncture needles on one side of the ear to treat and support specific conditions.
The needles will be retained for 15–20 minutes before being removed. This therapy is supported by a growing body of research for the treatment of various conditions.
Ear seeding involves using seeds to stimulate specific points on the ear that correspond to different organs and systems in the body. These seeds are adhered to the ear using small adhesive patches to provide gentle pressure without puncturing the skin. The seeds are typically retained on the ear for three to four days, and up to seven days, before removal. This therapy is supported by a growing body of research for various conditions.
Ear seeds are available in several varieties, including natural vaccaria, 24k gold-plated, and silver-plated options, selected based on your specific energetic needs. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, natural vaccaria seeds are considered energetically neutral. Gold seeds are used for their warming and energizing properties, while silver seeds provide a cooling and sedating effect. Metal seeds also create an ionizing reaction that further enhances the compression stimulation. If you choose Metal Ear Seeding (Gold or Silver), the doctor will assess your tongue and pulse to determine the most appropriate metal for your body's condition and energy balance.
