History Review
A detailed intake that includes your medical history, current symptoms, medications, allergies, surgeries, and other relevant background information. This helps us understand your overall health and develop a personalized treatment plan.
Physical Exam
We perform a basic physical exam which typically includes blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight. Additional evaluations may include heart and lung auscultation, neurological assessments, and orthopedic exams as needed. The examination also incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostics such as pulse and tongue observation. Please avoid brushing your tongue or consuming foods or drinks that may stain it (such as coffee, blueberries, or colored candies) prior to your appointment, to ensure an accurate assessment.
Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture
Our facial acupuncture treatments use the highest-grade, single-use acupuncture needles made from surgical-grade stainless steel, designed to meet strict medical standards for safety, minimal discomfort, and protection of muscle tissue. While facial skin can be more sensitive, our licensed doctor is specially trained in a painless insertion technique to ensure a comfortable experience. Depending on your personalized treatment plan, 50–100 ultra-thin needles may be used in each session. We offer three targeted approaches: (1) rejuvenation, which enhances blood flow and nutrient delivery to improve skin tone and overall complexion; (2) facial and neck muscle lifting, which focuses on muscle structure to promote firmness and may result in minor, short-term bruising due to deeper needling; and (3) wrinkle and collagen stimulation, which supports the softening of fine lines and encourages natural collagen production for smoother, more youthful-looking skin. For optimal results, we recommend a course of 10 sessions over 5 weeks, with treatment frequency tailored during your first visit.
Body Acupuncture
We also incorporate body acupuncture during Cosmetic & Anti-Aging treatments to support overall wellness and enhance facial results. Body points are selected to promote blood and nutrient flow to the face, relax muscle tension, and balance the body’s internal systems, which can contribute to anti-aging effects. Based on individual assessments and patient needs, body acupuncture may be included or substituted with moxibustion, a warming therapy used to nourish and strengthen the body. Each treatment is customized to provide the most effective support for your skin and overall health.
Standard Ear Seeding (Auriculotherapy)
Auriculotherapy involves stimulating specific points on the ear that correspond to different organs and systems in the body. We use natural Vacaria seeds, which are energetically neutral in Traditional Chinese Medicine terms. These seeds are adhered to the ear using small adhesive patches to provide gentle pressure without any puncturing. The seeds are typically retained on the ear for three to four days, and up to seven days before removal. This therapy is painless and supported by a growing body of research for various conditions.
Metal Ear Seeding (Auriculotherapy)
This is a variation of standard ear seeding, using 24k gold-plated or silver-plated seeds based on your energetic needs. Gold seeds are used for their warming and energizing properties, while silver seeds are more cooling and sedating. The seeds are applied with adhesive and do not puncture the skin. They are retained on the ear for three to seven days and are completely pain-free.
Vacuum cupping
Vacuum cupping is a traditional therapy that uses disposable plastic cups and a hand-held pump to create gentle suction on the skin. This non-invasive technique promotes circulation, releases muscle tension, and supports the body’s natural healing processes. It is commonly used for conditions such as muscle stiffness, back or neck pain, respiratory imbalances, and digestive concerns. The treatment does not puncture or break the skin, making it a safe and accessible option for many individuals. After treatment, it is normal for temporary circular marks to appear on the skin. These are not painful and usually fade within a few days.
Infrared Red Light Mask Therapy
Infrared Red Light Mask Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses red and near-infrared wavelengths to stimulate collagen production, reduce inflammation, and enhance skin healing. In our clinic, this therapy is used in combination with facial acupuncture to amplify anti-aging and skin-rejuvenating effects. The light penetrates deep into the skin to support cellular repair, improve circulation, and boost the natural regenerative processes stimulated by acupuncture. The LED mask is applied after needle insertion, allowing both therapies to work synergistically. This treatment is painless, calming, and requires no downtime, making it an excellent complement to your cosmetic acupuncture session.
Infrared Red Light Therapy
This heat lamp therapy is often used during acupuncture needle retention to enhance treatment outcomes. It delivers gentle infrared warmth to the body, helping to increase circulation, reduce inflammation, support tissue repair, and promote relaxation. The therapy is comfortable, soothing, and non-invasive.
Moxibustion (Smokeless Only)
Moxibustion is a heat therapy applied to acupuncture points using a smokeless moxa stick. It is especially beneficial for patients with low energy, chronic fatigue, or cold-related conditions. The therapy helps warm the body, boost circulation, and enhance immune function. Patients typically feel a comforting warmth without any pain or burning.
