IMPORTANT NOTES:
-
Botox Patients:
If you have recently received Botox injections, please inform your practitioner. It is generally recommended to wait at least 2 weeks after Botox treatment before undergoing facial acupuncture to avoid interference with the effects. If you plan to get Botox, schedule your acupuncture treatments accordingly and notify the clinic so we can adjust your care plan. -
Minor Bruising:
Facial acupuncture treatments that focus on muscle lifting may more likely to cause small, minor bruises in some areas. These bruises can be either noticeable or barely visible and typically resolve within a few days. Our surgical-grade needles are designed to minimize tissue damage, but some bruising is a normal part of working with muscle tissue. -
Previous Facial Surgery:
Please inform your practitioner if you have had any facial surgery or cosmetic procedures in the past. Depending on the type and timing of surgery, certain acupuncture points or techniques may be modified or avoided to ensure your safety and optimal results. -
Aftercare Recommendations:
To support healing and maximize treatment benefits, avoid overstimulating your face on the day of your facial acupuncture session. This includes refraining from facial massage, gua sha, cupping, or any other intense skin treatments. If you wish to perform these therapies, please schedule them on a different day than your acupuncture appointment.
